Caroline Chabaud
Founder
Having traveled the world as a fashion editor for Conde Nast, notably for the Spanish edition of VOGUE, and later as fashion editor-in-chief for the French magazines GLAMOUR and AIR FRANCE Madame, Caroline Chabaud ultimately settled in Bali for 15 years. There, she created her clothing line sold in her own boutiques and distributed internationally. Free to explore her creativity, her passion for decoration and architecture led her to new projects, this time in real estate.
During one of her travels, she was captivated by the charm and laid-back lifestyle of Lisbon. Deciding to make it her new home, she moved there in 2016 and founded her company, Maison Chabaud Home and Decor.
Almost immediately, she was entrusted with decorating the Le Consulat hotel in the heart of the capital—a wonderful challenge. She demonstrated a real talent for creating a warm and stylish atmosphere, blending furniture from her Indonesian suppliers with vintage pieces.
With her diverse influences and boundless inspiration, she has built a loyal clientele that appreciates her mix of Asian pieces, original furniture by designers, and pieces from other continents. For Caroline, a house must tell a story—each one different—and reflect the personality of its owners, who often become her close friends.
